I need suggestions on how to help my husband deal with our 15 yr. olds pregnancy?

I just found out that my 15 year old daughter is 8 weeks pregnant. Her and her boyfriend told me as soon as they found out, but my daughter and her father have a very poor relationship and I need help on ways to get him to realize that we have to be positive with her, cause i know he is going to scream and yell and be terrible about the whole thing....ironically, we were teen parents, but he thinks that was different.....Any help and ideas will be greatly appreciatedI need suggestions on how to help my husband deal with our 15 yr. olds pregnancy?
Aw sorry to hear about your predicament.

Remind him that it happened to yous and yous still managed even though it wont be easy. Remind him also that yelling will achieve nothing and only cause further anxiety to you all. Ask him to support you in taking care of the situation (sometimes if men are given an active role instead of kept in the background, then they handle things better than you thought).

Good luck.I need suggestions on how to help my husband deal with our 15 yr. olds pregnancy?
just get them both in the room and make sure her boyfriend is in there. Really if he's not there when you tell him. Just makes her look bad. OK, then like I'm just guesiing get her to tell. Then say she made a mistake that's all. and ya know bring in that you guys screwed up at that age. and if he doesn't listen and screams. MAN WHAT I wOULD DO IS SLAP HIM! make him be supportive even though his daughter screwed up and might not eveng et a chance to finish schoo or go to college. but hey what should I know..I'm only 20 with a creepy lookin baby in me. OH! make sure there are no sharp hurtable objects in the room at the time. :) EXPERINCE!!!
Mostly I would say to have him remember that he can yell and scream all he wants, but it's not going to change anything that's already happened. If he wants anything good to come out of it, he has to be positive and help his daughter because he loves her, period.
i don't know sorry but good luck! and wow u must be horrified sorry...
That's funny that he somehow thinks it's different when it's his daughter, but when it was you, he didn't mind. ;] Just tell him that it's a done deal, and screaming at her isn't going to help anything.
well i think you should talk to him before hand.. let him know that your daughter has something she has to speak about but don't yourself tell him. and remind him that they already have a poor relationship and that screaming about it would only cause her to separate more from him and possibly cause her to run away or something. maybe if one day that she is at school actually tell him yourself without your daughter knowing and then after hes not all angry tell him that you all are going to have like a little family meeting with the boyfriend there and she can tell him herself. then when hes not so pissed off about it, she will think that he is supportive and such. make sure he realizes that this could seriously make or break their relationship as father and daughter
You both need to be supportive of her - if he won`t, then you do it alone. This is a very scary and traumatic and lonely time for a girl of that age. She`ll need all the love, and support, and loyalty she can get.

Just stand by her and help her - that is the best thing you can do for her.

If your hubby shouts and bellows, let him blow himself out. Sooner or later he has to simmer down and face the truth of his daughter`s serious dilemma. Then tell him what I have just told you.
LOL WHATS DIFFERENT ABOUT IT?? ITS TOTALLY THE SAME THING ITS JUST IT WAS THE PAST HE NEEDS TO GET IN THE BALL AND START HELPING THATS JUST THE POINT HE IS HER FATHER AND HE SHOULD BE THERE FOR HER...MY FATHER WAS NOT THERE FOR ME AND I DONT LIKE HIM FOR THAT HE DIDNT EVEN GO TO MY KIDS FIRST BIRTHDAYS
I suggest telling him when she wasn't around and reminding him that his daughter needs him to be supportive right now and that making her feel bad about it won't change anything.
